The on-job-training announcements for summer placements are made to students. Along with their application, letters are sent to the companies. The companies then shortlist students for the summer internship. Alternatively, companies also come to campus and hold interviews to select the PGP students. The companies that are not able to visit the campus for summer internship have the option of selecting the students on the basis of their resumes. Companies are expected to pay a certain stipend to the summer trainees and also to cover expenses incurred on travel (outstation), boarding and lodging if involved in the projects, should be reimbursed as per the organization rules.

Companies/ organizations are normally requested to communicate the project brief to the summer trainees at least two weeks before the start of the training; either in reply to the letter of application or directly to the placement coordinator while confirming a student for summer internship in its organization. This basically helps the students and provides them an opportunity to discuss the project with the concerned faculty and prepare themselves for summer internship

While celebrating life at Indore Indira, we constantly sensitize our PGP students about their mind, body & soul through lectures on spirituality. Yoga, meditation exercises etc. we make them understand their responsibility towards environment, society and its problems and solutions. Our students are encouraged to actively organize and participate in various social responsibility projects, which form an integral part of the social responsibility initiatives at Indore Indira.

The first step towards gaining knowledge and getting answers is to ask the right questions. Out of classroom, interactive sessions act as a catalyst and create an environment that makes students look for more. Seminars and workshops are the opportunities where questions are born and minds are lit with new sparks.

Apart from workshops,. Another method of corporate interface that we adopt is through arranging regular visits of the senior corporate executives to our campus. Indore Indira has been graced by the visits of professionals from Anand Rathi group, syncom formulations ltd HDFC bank, Induslnd bank, ICICI Bank, Tech Synergy, Bajaj Capital, Reliance Money, Impetus Technologies, Samsung, HDFC Standard Life, Emaar MGF, Parle Agro, I-Flex solutions Ltd. Angel Broking Ltd., KGK Group, Inter Brand Retail Pvt. Ltd. Ma Foi, Metlife etc.

IISCS firmly believes in molding the future managers by providing personal guidance for their development. Towards this end, a mentoring programme has been institutionalized to counsel them on the key attributes that they need to focus on to become effective managers and future leaders. The programme also covers issues connected with the recruitment and selection process of managers and how the students can confidently face such processes.

The programme is structured in such a way that a group of students are assigned a mentor for counseling and guidance. The group stays with the mentor for one and a half year and he/she plays the role of their friend, philosopher and guide in all matters. Group sessions as well as one on one session are included in the programme. The frequency of the mentoring sessions is designed in such a way so as to be highly productive

The programme is well appreciated by the student community for the high degree of personal involvement of the mentor in shaping their future.
